Fall Food Forest Tour

Come enjoy a tour of this beautiful 15-acre food forest just outside of DC! We will nibble on fruits and veggies growing on the farm and learn about the different plants, mushrooms and systems we encounter. This event will be deeply informative and delicious. More information below!

During this tour we will discuss topics such as:

-Plant & mushroom identification
-How to harvest sustainably and prepare different edible foods throughout the seasons
-Basics of botany, mycology, herbalism and medicinal preparations
-Planting & propagation techniques
-Agroforestry principles & practices
-Temperate ecology and more

The workshop will go from ~ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm.

WORKSHOP LOCATION! PLEASE READ DIRECTIONS BELOW CAREFULLY BEFORE ARRIVAL

Directions:

The FOREST GARDEN is in the FIELD NEXT TO Lowest Price Gas Station at 3507 Enterprise Rd, Bowie, MD 20721.

When you see the gas station, you're very close. There is a yellow gate 100 feet south of the gas station, on the same side of the road, hidden in the trees.

Drive past the hanging wooden sign that reads "FORESTED", through the yellow gate and into the field. Parking is to the left, you'll see signs that read "Guest Parking". Walk around the big field clockwise to come to the "Food Forest" garden fence. WE WILL MEET RIGHT OUTSIDE THIS FENCE : )

*If you have limited mobility, please feel free to drive around the field and park next to the wooden forest garden gate.
